Opening of the 2nd phase of the German-Sino Agricultural Center (DCZ) in Beijing

04 June 2018 - On May 31, IAMO director Thomas Glauben and scientist Lena Kuhn participated in the Launch Event for the second phase of the Sino-German Agricultural Centre at the German Embassy Beijing, China.

The event, which was attended by around 90 representatives from the fields of science, politics and business, saw the signing of an implementation agreement between the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and the IAK-IAMO working group. Prior to this, in an initial meeting of the steering group activities until mid-2019 were planned.

The German-Sino Agricultural Center (DCZ) was founded in 2015 and is a joint initiative by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (MARA) which aims at intensifying the political and economic relationship as well as promoting scientific cooperation and exchange of experts. The DCZ’s second project phase will be implemented by a consortium consisting of IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH and IAMO.
