Sino-German Agriculture Week 2021 will be held from 1 to 2 December 2021 (Online)

The Sino-German Agricultural Centre (DCZ) is a high-level initiative of Sino-German bilateral cooperation between the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA). The DCZ’s objective is to promote the cooperation between China and Germany in the agriculture and food sector and to support China’s sustainable agricultural development as well as dialogues on agriculture related issues of common concern for the two countries.

One of the main events of the DCZ is the Sino-German Agricultural Week which serves as a platform to facilitate exchange of experiences and lessons on DCZ topics between German and Chinese political decision-makers and researchers.

The 7th Sino-German Agricultural Week will take place on 1st and 2nd December 2021. The Sino-German Agricultural Week will comprise two days of events which will be organized as an online event. The Sino-German Agricultural Week will host high-level representatives of MARA and BMEL, as well as from Chinese and German academic and research institutions and business.

It will include

➢ Keynote speeches by high-level representatives

➢ Presentations on latest developments of the topics mentioned below by renowned speakers

➢ Panel discussions

1st  December: “Open Day” under the heading “Sino-German Cooperation and Approaches to Rural Development and Revitalization”.

  Venue: Huaxia Hall, Shenzhen Wuzhou Guest House The theme will be addressed in four panels:

  o Rural planning and Rural development programs

  o Business development in rural areas

  o Digitalization in rural areas o Rural talents

2nd December: Smart Agriculture event under the theme: “Sino-German Digital Agriculture Solutions”.

  Venue: Hall 14 Meeting Room, Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center

  o This event will be held in the context of the World Expo on Digital Agriculture (WEDA), 12-14 November, organized by our partners of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center (FECC).
